How it is made

Cut, sweated, turned and dried

Four stages from Alex's photographs. The rows are cut by hand, the bundles chopped and left to ferment overnight, then turned on the tea court until the red colour develops and the tea is dry. The dates show the stages were photographed on different days, not as one continuous batch.

The offer

Rooibos, by the grade

Supplied by Cloudskraal Farms. Choose a starting point, then agree the specification and available lot with Alex. The names identify our offered grades, not a universal sieve standard.

Export fines

For buyers seeking a fine-cut rooibos. The sieve distribution, leaf and stem content, moisture and infusion requirements are agreed against a sample.

Export espresso superfines

Discuss your espresso-style extraction equipment, particle size and filtration requirements. This is a finely cut tea grade, not a soluble extract.

Export loose tea blend

For loose-tea and blending enquiries. The cut, blend composition and sensory profile are confirmed for your product.

Rooibos sticks

Stem material for an agreed application, including winemaking trials and research enquiries. Composition, treatment history and suitability are agreed case by case for the intended use; no therapeutic claim is made.

Packaging

  • 40 kg Nylon bags
  • 350 kg FIB bags
  • 20 kg paper bags

Bag construction and grade compatibility are confirmed per order; not every grade is assumed to be available in every bag.

How an order works

  1. 1

    Tell us the requirement

Product, grade or variety, quantity, intended use, packaging, destination and the date you are working towards.

  2. 2

    Agree the lot and specification

We confirm what is available, the specification, a sample where needed and any tests the destination requires.

  3. 3

    Written quotation and deposit

The quotation sets out the lot, quantity, packaging, price, included costs, the deposit and the balance due before dispatch.

  4. 4

    Quality acceptance, packing and release

Agreed test results and acceptance, packing and the balance payment are the release conditions. Dispatch and transit are confirmed separately.

Payment
A deposit, with the balance before dispatch. Your quotation sets the deposit amount, the due dates and which costs are included. No deposit percentage or credit period is fixed in advance.
Delivery
Dispatch depends on the lot, sampling, any laboratory results, packing and a transport slot. Alex confirms an order-specific window once those are known; transit and arrival are estimated separately with the carrier or forwarder. Fresh-grape deliveries follow the harvest and the receiving cellar's schedule rather than a dry-goods timeline.
Testing and traceability
We use Hearshaw and Kinnes Analytical Laboratory (HKAL). The test panel, methods and required limits are agreed for the relevant lot and destination. Ask for the applicable lot report.
Supplying and export entities
Cloudskraal Farms supplies. Tiquimani handles exports. Your quotation identifies the contracting, invoicing and export roles for the order.
